[And he will be there! ...Early, even, because an hour is nothing time-wise and he wants to be there with enough time to get an idea of the place. And the place is...it sure is a place. It's the most place a place can be. Does he have an opinion on it, not really, but at least it doesn't seem dangerous and there's nothing there that's immediately out to kill him, and there's a good amount of plant life here that's acceptable scenery.
...He doesn't seem to be really processing it fully, but that's okay. He's still getting used to there being like...sky up there, this is going to take some time.]
[It sure is a lot of plants, hopefully you'll be okay there, buddy.
Anyway, Vicious shows up eventually; he's not exactly on time but not super late either, less than ten minutes late so that's pretty good. It's not like he's ever usually had to worry about showing up to anywhere on a set schedule?? Weird.
Anyway, he finds Killy easily enough and approaches.]
[thankfully he does not mind the plants, nor does he seem to have like. allergies. small favors.]
...Yeah.
[And it...seems we're back to this again? He was so willing to talk over text, too...
But text is text, and this is...not, and now he's just kind of staring like he's not sure how to initiate this now that they're both here. Uh. So like, is it just a matter of grabbing your hand and going somewhere because that feels Weird, or are we doing something first, or...]
[He just kind of tilts his head for a brief moment, but thankfully he is entirely aware of why they're here and doesn't need to be dragged through the fine art of not making this weird; he reaches out and takes the hand extended to him, and he has the basic decency to make sure everyone is on the same level more or less as opposed to just trying to get this over with as fast as possible by heading off through the gardens at an overly-accelerated pace.
[Still kind of an asshole, but at least that's a bit more understandable!!]
Huh. Nah, we've got books and stuff where I'm from. Couple of the people I'm travelin' with are pretty into it; Aegis won't stop pesterin' us to "culture" ourselves by readin' and Yuna's a writer. Never had much interest in it, personally.
[How the hell do you no longer have a use for reading— you know what, he doesn't want to try to get into it, there's no way he's going to be able to wrap his head around whatever you say next.]
Huh. Never would've thought there'd be a place where readin's a rare skill...
She your only companion? Sounds kinda lonely with just the two of you.
[...Hmm, that's kind of weird now that it's out there, probably because he was traveling on his own for a long while... Eh, better not to think too much about it.]
[He's never found it lonely, really; Cibo is decent company, and she tends to keep him busy - whether on purpose or otherwise. Besides, if it was lonely before, then now it's going to be- ]
I'm used to being by myself. I don't travel with people.
Heh, yeah. It happens, I guess. Couple of kids started followin' after me awhile back and now it seems like I can't get rid of 'em or the people they keep recruitin'.
[...not that he minds at all, from the sound of it.]

no subject
At least here we both benefit.

Good to see you found the place alright.

...Yeah.

C'mon, let's wander around for awhile first - might as well see what kinda weird plants they've got here, yeah? If we get bored, we can go elsewhere.
[Here, he'll even extend a hand, just for you! Don't make it weird, Killy.]
no subject
Just...guys being dudes...]
Do most people read, where you're from?
[...Killy.]
no subject
Huh? Yeah?
[He says, like he isn't sure why this is a question in the first place...]
Is that weird where you're from?
no subject
[So maybe not, like, a total asshole? ...Still an asshole for saying it but ehhhh anyway- ]
no subject
Huh. Nah, we've got books and stuff where I'm from. Couple of the people I'm travelin' with are pretty into it; Aegis won't stop pesterin' us to "culture" ourselves by readin' and Yuna's a writer. Never had much interest in it, personally.

[On a scale from one to "books are ancient technology and reading is obsolete", how post-apocalyptic are you.]
I still remember how to do it, though. Obviously.
no subject
Huh. Never would've thought there'd be a place where readin's a rare skill...
[Other worlds are wild.]
no subject
[...He can sense the incoming question before it hits.]
Cibo is...someone I travel with.
no subject
Yeah? What are they like?
no subject
Smart. She's an engineer. She likes to rescue people.
[...]
She's just Cibo. I don't know.
no subject
How long have you known her? You sound pretty fond of her!
[This is Killy's very subdued version of fondness, right...]
no subject
I don't know. She's been with me for a long time. She wasn't always there. But it's been a while.
[Is he fond? It's kind of hard to say. Maybe? Possibly. He isn't really sure how to address that, if he's honest.]
no subject

I'm used to being by myself. I don't travel with people.
no subject
Did she just invite herself along, then?
no subject
[It doesn't sound affectionate, but it at least doesn't sound like he minds.]
