[Still kind of an asshole, but at least that's a bit more understandable!!]
Huh. Nah, we've got books and stuff where I'm from. Couple of the people I'm travelin' with are pretty into it; Aegis won't stop pesterin' us to "culture" ourselves by readin' and Yuna's a writer. Never had much interest in it, personally.
[How the hell do you no longer have a use for reading— you know what, he doesn't want to try to get into it, there's no way he's going to be able to wrap his head around whatever you say next.]
Huh. Never would've thought there'd be a place where readin's a rare skill...
She your only companion? Sounds kinda lonely with just the two of you.
[...Hmm, that's kind of weird now that it's out there, probably because he was traveling on his own for a long while... Eh, better not to think too much about it.]
[He's never found it lonely, really; Cibo is decent company, and she tends to keep him busy - whether on purpose or otherwise. Besides, if it was lonely before, then now it's going to be- ]
I'm used to being by myself. I don't travel with people.
Heh, yeah. It happens, I guess. Couple of kids started followin' after me awhile back and now it seems like I can't get rid of 'em or the people they keep recruitin'.
[...not that he minds at all, from the sound of it.]
Kanata's a do-gooder. You know the type, can't help stickin' their nose into everythin' and always tryin' to help, even when no one wants or needs it. Strong sense of justice, stronger ideals... the sorta kid that's gonna change the world somehow, or die in a blaze of glorious stupidity.
Misella's his friend and biggest supporter. She's real fond of him - or I guess what she thinks he should be. That idealism's real important to her, and she can't stand anyone who'll lead Kanata astray. I guess she's dedicated? She likes settin' stuff on fire almost as much as she likes Kanata, and she likes meat even more than that. She tried to kill me in my sleep once.
[A brief pause as he considers, and then Vicious nods.]
A pair of dumbasses.
[...he's pretty fond of this pair of dumbasses...]
[He seems to consider that for a moment before just...nodding a bit. A pair of dumbasses. Got it.
The plants here are nice to look at, on the occasions when he doesn't want to be reminded that he's just wandering around holding hands with someone on the world's worst first date; he's not familiar with them at all and it's obvious, and as day wears on into evening they start looking...well, decidedly like something worth looking at. It's pretty, if nothing else, and even if Killy isn't used to pretty things that exist solely for prettiness' sake he can't say he minds it, either.]
...This isn't as bad as it could have been.
[The whole...Synchrony thing. It's awkward, but it's not terrible.]

[So maybe not, like, a total asshole? ...Still an asshole for saying it but ehhhh anyway- ]

[On a scale from one to "books are ancient technology and reading is obsolete", how post-apocalyptic are you.]
I still remember how to do it, though. Obviously.

[Other worlds are wild.]

[...He can sense the incoming question before it hits.]
Cibo is...someone I travel with.
no subject
Yeah? What are they like?
no subject
Smart. She's an engineer. She likes to rescue people.
[...]
She's just Cibo. I don't know.
no subject
How long have you known her? You sound pretty fond of her!
[This is Killy's very subdued version of fondness, right...]
no subject
I don't know. She's been with me for a long time. She wasn't always there. But it's been a while.
[Is he fond? It's kind of hard to say. Maybe? Possibly. He isn't really sure how to address that, if he's honest.]

Did she just invite herself along, then?
no subject
[It doesn't sound affectionate, but it at least doesn't sound like he minds.]

[Fair's fair in asking about that, really.]

C'mon, you thought it'd be worse? It's just holdin' hands.
[He squeezes Killy's with a smirk.]
no subject
I don't let people touch me, either.
no subject
[No, he knows he is not going to get anything out of teasing Killy, but listen, he hasn't gotten sick of it yet!!]
no subject
[...He literally just went VICIOUS, YOU HAVE NO STANDARDS in contacting you, uh.]
no subject
Seems pretty straightforward, not sure why anyone would need to ask questions. You're welcome, though.
